Terms & Conditions

1. Payment for SBSD classes is by Direct Debit only. Subscription fees are taken on the 1st of the month.

2. If you wish to withdraw from a class one months notice must be given in writing. Notice received after the 14th of the month are not processed until the following month.

3. Subscription fees are subject to an annual increase.

4. Subscription fees are non refundable. There are no refunds for students missing classes.

5. In the event of a class cancellation due to inclement weather or other forces majeure including local/national lockdown, the class will aim to move to an online provision e.g. Zoom.

6. Shoshana Burns School of Dance uniform is compulsory for all classes. New students must purchase the correct uniform within 2 weeks of beginning classes. All uniform is available to order from our front desk. Long hair must be tied back and jewellery kept to a minimum. We reserve the right to refuse entry if a student is not dressed appropriately.

7. Parents are not permitted to watch classes unless invited. This is for child protection and health and safety reasons.

8. Please keep your belongings with you at all times and do not bring items of value to class. SBSD will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to property.

9. SBSD endeavours to ensure your children are in a safe and comfortable environment. The front door will be kept closed and locked for security- please only share the entry code with trusted guardians. 

10. Parking is available for SBSD customers. Please park considerately and drive carefully on and around the premises. SBSD accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to vehicles or their contents in our car park. 

11. Please ensure any changes to students details are provided in writing. All information is GDPR compliant, kept in the strictest confidence and will never be passed on to outside parties.

12. We expect all SBSD students and their families to behave with discipline and respect on site, particularly towards members of staff. Bad language and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to request the removal of any student from any class at any time for breaches of discipline.

13. SBSD does not discriminate on background, race or religion.

14. It is often necessary for staff to use physical contact when helping to improve students’ posture or assist in movement.

15. Mobile phones must be switched off during classes. Smoking is not permitted in or around the building at any time.
